Released in 1999, The King of Fighters '99: Millennium Battle is another entry in SNK's iconic fighting game series. Building upon the success of its predecessors, '99 introduced new characters, refined the gameplay mechanics, and continued the series' compelling story. The game maintained the 3-on-3 team battle format, but often included refined movement and special move techniques. It retains the same core gameplay loop as '98 but expands the roster and introduces various gameplay changes.
