Hoshi no Kirby (星のカービィ), or Kirby's Dream Land in English, was the first game in the incredibly popular Kirby franchise. Released in 1992 for the Game Boy, it introduced the adorable pink puffball and his signature abilities, including inhaling enemies to gain their powers. Gameplay involves traversing colorful levels, defeating enemies, and collecting items. Its simple yet addictive gameplay loops made it a massive hit, solidifying Kirby's place as a Nintendo mascot. Developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, it set the template for future Kirby games.
