Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Japan) is an action game for the Nintendo Game Boy, released in 1990. It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up based on the popular cartoon and comic book franchise. The game features the four Turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, each with unique abilities, battling through various levels against the Foot Clan. The game's pixel art is simple but effective, and the gameplay is fast-paced and challenging.  It largely mirrors the style and feel of the contemporary arcade games of the TMNT franchise.  The Japanese release features differences in level layouts and enemy placement compared to Western releases. This version was developed and published by Konami in Japan.
