WWF Superstars was released for the Nintendo Game Boy in Japan. This wrestling game followed the familiar formula of one-on-one wrestling matches, focusing on simple controls and quick matches, a common trend amongst Game Boy wrestling titles.  The Japanese version may have featured a roster different from the US and European releases.  Acclaim Entertainment likely handled the production of this title as well. The differences between regional releases may involve wrestler selection and the overall visual presentation.
