Guilty Gear X: Advance Edition is a fighting game originally released for the GBA in 2003. Based on the popular Guilty Gear series for arcades and consoles, it maintained the series’ fast-paced 2D fighting mechanics while adapting the game for the handheld platform.  The gameplay includes a simplified control scheme compared to its console counterparts, making it accessible to both newcomers and seasoned players. This iteration focuses on a roster of iconic characters from the Guilty Gear universe, allowing players to learn each character's unique strengths and abilities within the game's mechanics.  Developed by Arc System Works, known for its highly-polished and visually impressive fighting games, the game was well-received for bringing a complex fighting game experience to the Game Boy Advance.
