Mario Kart 64 - Amped Up v2.91 represents a substantial update to the popular ROM hack. The original Mario Kart 64, developed and published by Nintendo in 1996, is the base game.  This ROM hack, however, expands upon it significantly. Gameplay features the signature kart racing of the original but incorporates new tracks, characters, karts, items, and likely gameplay improvements. The developers behind Amped Up continue to refine and improve the hack, adding new content and addressing issues.
