Boulder Dash is a classic arcade puzzle game that has seen numerous ports and iterations. The original version featured the player controlling Rockford, who must collect rocks and gems in a mine while avoiding enemies and collapsing tunnels. The NES version generally follows this formula.  The gameplay is simple but addictive, with many different levels and challenges to overcome.  Peter Liepa is credited with the original design of Boulder Dash.
