Another ROM hack by Insectduel, "Megaman Showdown IV EX - Hard" (Boss Mode) builds upon the changes introduced in "Megaman Showdown IV - Hard." It is a more extensive modification to the original Mega Man 4 (USA) for NES, again dramatically increasing the difficulty, particularly during boss fights. The original game's level design and weapon mechanics are retained, but enemy placement, attack patterns, and boss health are likely significantly altered, creating a drastically different challenge.  Capcom's original Mega Man 4 was known for its balanced challenge; this hack subverts that, delivering a punishing experience targeted at skilled players who want an extremely difficult Mega Man experience.
