Rygar is an action-adventure game developed and published by Tecmo for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This version retains the core gameplay of its other releases. The game is characterized by its side-scrolling action and the use of the Diskarmor, a unique weapon used throughout the game. The popularity of the game on the NES solidified its place in action-platformer history.  Tecmo's reputation was enhanced by this successful title.
