This version of Yoshi's Cookie, known in Japan as Yoshi no Cookie, was the game's original release in 1992. It shares the same puzzle gameplay as the other regional releases but with Japanese-language text and packaging.  The core mechanics of matching colored cookies and preventing the stack from reaching the top remain the same, ensuring a similar gameplay experience to international versions.  Nintendo developed and published the game.
