Bishi Bashi Special (Japan) is the original Japanese release of the popular PlayStation party game. While differing little mechanically from later releases or localizations, the Japanese version is sought after by collectors for its unique packaging, artwork and potentially subtle gameplay differences.  Konami, known for its arcade-style games, successfully adapted the formula for home consoles, using the game's multiplayer capacity and quirky mini-games to achieve widespread appeal in Japan. The gameplay maintains the same focus on simple controls and frenzied competition.
