Exhumed, originally known as Rise of the Triad: Dark War, is a first-person shooter video game released in 1996 for MS-DOS, and later ported to the PlayStation in 1998. Developed by Apogee Software and later published by 3D Realms, the game offered a blend of fast-paced action, unique weapons and a dark, atmospheric setting. Gameplay involved traversing various levels, battling hordes of enemies, and utilizing a diverse arsenal of weaponry. The game’s popularity stemmed from its fast-paced action and the distinct level designs. The PlayStation version introduced updated graphics, improving the visual experience of the original PC release.
