Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko is the third and final game in the main Gex series, and this game also launched on the Playstation. Further evolving the gameplay established in previous installments, Gex 3 introduces new mechanics and a more varied level design.  The game maintains its hallmark humor and pop culture themes.  While still developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive, it saw a shift in direction with some critics noting a deviation from the previous games' formula. The game's storyline is more extensive, and it features a wider range of enemies and boss fights compared to its predecessors.
