Klax is a tile-matching puzzle game originally released in arcades in 1990. The Sega Game Gear version, released in 1991, remained largely faithful to the original. Gameplay involves manipulating falling colored blocks to create horizontal or vertical lines of the same color, clearing them from the playfield. The faster you clear lines, the higher your score, and the more challenging the game becomes. The game's simple premise and addictive gameplay proved popular, leading to ports across numerous platforms. The Sega Game Gear version captures the frantic energy of the arcade original in a handheld format. It was developed and published by Sega.
