Columns III: Revenge of Columns built upon the success of the original Columns with added features and gameplay refinements. It retained the core puzzle mechanic of matching colored gems, but likely added new game modes, power-ups, or other elements to enhance the gameplay experience. The 'Revenge' subtitle suggested a more challenging or intense experience than previous installments.  While maintaining the fundamental gameplay that made the original Columns popular, it aimed to offer a more advanced and engaging experience for players.
