Columns III, a puzzle game released for the Sega Genesis, is part of the Columns series. The original Columns game was released in arcades and on the Sega Genesis, featuring stacking colored jewels to create matches. Columns III takes this concept further, introducing new gameplay elements and modes to differentiate it from its predecessors. It includes a story mode, offering a more engaging experience than the original puzzle gameplay of its predecessors.  Developed and published by Sega, Columns III was well-received for its additions to the classic Columns formula, maintaining the addictive gameplay while adding more content.
