Ecco Jr., a spin-off of the popular Ecco the Dolphin series, aimed for a younger audience while maintaining core elements of underwater exploration and puzzle-solving. Released for the Sega Genesis in 1995, this title featured a more simplistic design but retained the charm and aquatic atmosphere of its predecessors. The gameplay largely revolved around navigating underwater levels, collecting items, and evading predators. While simpler than its predecessors, Ecco Jr. provided an accessible and engaging entry point into the series' unique gameplay style. It also presented a slightly different artistic direction, while keeping the family-friendly tone of the original Ecco the Dolphin.
