Super Sonic in Sonic 3D
Super Sonic in Sonic 3D is another ROM hack, based on the Sega Genesis game Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island. Like the previous example, it was created by fans outside of Sega's official development process and introduces Super Sonic as a playable character, resulting in gameplay changes compared to the original game. The original gameplay is already unique compared to other Sonic games with the inclusion of the isometric perspective and collection of Flickies, so any gameplay changes here are likely related to Super Sonic's powerset. Creators of this ROM hack are likely independent individuals or small groups of modders.
