Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden is a fighting game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in Japan. Developed and published by Bandai, it was the first in a series of Dragon Ball Z fighting games for the console. The game features a roster of popular characters from the Dragon Ball Z anime, and allows players to engage in fast-paced one-on-one combat using a variety of special moves and techniques. The gameplay is relatively simple to pick up but offers a surprising depth of strategy, particularly in terms of character selection and special move management.
