First Samurai, a 1994 action-adventure game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), offered a unique blend of side-scrolling action and puzzle elements. Developed by the now defunct Japanese company, Culture Brain, it saw different releases across various regions, including Europe, Japan, and the USA. The game's gameplay centers on the player controlling a samurai warrior navigating treacherous levels, battling enemies with a sword and various projectile weapons.  While it wasn't a major commercial success, it is known among retro gamers for its unique art style, challenging gameplay, and the novelty of a samurai-themed side-scroller on the SNES.   The different regional releases sometimes presented slight variations in the graphics, and most noticeably the language.
