Pilotwings - Fastrom
Pilotwings, a launch title for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), took flight in 1990. Developed by Nintendo EAD, the game pioneered the use of Mode 7 graphics to create a sense of three-dimensional perspective, giving players a surprisingly realistic feeling of flight in a top-down view. The gameplay focuses on completing various flight challenges across a variety of beautiful and detailed environments, ranging from peaceful countryside to bustling cities. The challenges include things such as precision landings and target practice using different aircraft such as a hang glider, a rocket belt and even a plane.
