Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety is a 1995 Super Nintendo Entertainment System beat 'em up, a sequel to Maximum Carnage. While sharing similar gameplay to its predecessor – a side-scrolling beat 'em up with multiple playable characters (Spider-Man and Venom again) and a focus on combo attacks – Separation Anxiety offers a slightly different storyline and level designs.  Developed by Blizzard Entertainment and published by Activision, this game features a darker and more intense atmosphere than Maximum Carnage. It maintained the fast-paced action and cooperative gameplay that was well-received in the previous title.  The game's reception varied more than its predecessor, with some praising its enhancements, while others found it less impactful.
